Hi all,
sorry for not responding sooner, but planning and organizing a
wedding, getting married, being on extended vacation and breaking my
build-system did take its toll on my spare time :-)
Zitat von Thomas Goirand <z...@debian.org>:
python-librabbitmq is buggy (see: #747270), not maintained upstream anymore,
and is replaced by python-amqp. We made sure that there is no reverse
dependency remaining, and that all of them moved to use python-amqp, which
is currently the case (the last one was python-kombu, which has migrated
to testing).
This is not entirely correct, python-librabbitmq is actively
maintained, its last release 1.5.2[0] was 2 months ago. I was just not
able to prepare and test an new package because of my aforementioned
liabilities.
As a consequence, please remove python-librabbitmq from both Sid and Jessie.
I'm ok with the removal from testing due to the unfixed RC, but please
give me a chance to fix it in sid without going through NEW again. If
installed, python-librabbitmq is preferred[1] over python-amqp by
celery because it is much faster and recommended for larger deployments.
If you, Thomas or Brian want to help me with librabbitmqc and
python-librabbitmq I would surely be grateful. I hope to regain some
spare time to do this work in mid August.
