Package: pilot-link Version: 0.11.8-12 Severity: wishlist Let's say one's Palm has died, but one has plenty of *DB.pdb backup files on disk. I wish there was a way for so many of the pilot-link tools not require one to e.g., take a boat to the main island and buy another Palm, and put the *DB.pdb files on it. I wish there was a way they could read from a file local file instead of needing to connect to the Palm. Each should have a "memos -f" style option.
(I filed a wishlist already I recall, for one or two of the tools to do it, but they should all be able to do it. Need --output too.) Wait... some of the tools have -f, sometimes misdocumented... see my seperate bugs... And one sees $ addresses --help You can redirect the output of addresses to a file instead of the default STDOUT by using redirection and pipes as necessary. Example: addresses -p /dev/pilot -f > MyAddresses.txt Here we see a weird -f crop up, undocumented in the other parts of the addresses documentation. P.S., man addresses makes it seem that -p is optional, but addresses --help says the opposite. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
