Hi, I'm sorry to say this, but you misundersand the situation. Yes, waiting for dhclient is intentional. No, this isn't a bug. Dhclient backgrounding automatically isn't intended behaviour, but currently there's no better way. No, your patch doesn't solve anything, but introduces breakage.
