Package: gnome-panel Version: 2.12.1-2 Severity: minor I installed sarge, gdm was started automatically and told me the time was: Wed Nov 16, 8:05 When I logged in, the clock-applet in the gnome-panel said: Wed 16 Nov, 20:05 (or the other way around, I cannot remember).
I just upgraded to GNOME 1.12 in experimental to see whether this is still there. While the situation has slightly improved (the time format is the same now), the date is still displayed in a different way: gdm: Fri Nov 25, 6:55 PM clock-applet: Fri 25 Nov, 6:55 PM ^^^^^^ It would be nice if this was consistent. Tested with: ii gnome-panel 2.12.1-2 launcher and docking facility for GNOME 2 ii gdm 2.8.0.6-1 GNOME Display Manager -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-1-686 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- Martin Michlmayr http://www.cyrius.com/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
