Package: macchanger
Version: 1.7.0-1
Severity: minor

Hello

I noticed you deactivate some hardening in your rules file.

Since you already have compat level 9, you should probably use:
export DEB_LDFLAGS_MAINT_APPEND=-Wl,-z,defs,--as-needed
rather than
export LDFLAGS=-Wl,-z,defs,--as-needed

as the later will clear existing protection from default !

This change will clear your lintian warning

Cheers
