You probably run Stumpwm with CLISP? Maybe it's actually a CLISP problem? BTW, I don't know whether it's wrong just in the e-mail but `รถ' in your string is encoded incorrectly, as a binary character. Maybe it'd work fine if you used UTF-8 environment.
