Package: mysql-server Version: 5.5.37-0+wheezy1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I am trying to run mysql-server under runit and mysqld_safe as packed with Debian makes impossible for me to send logs to stderr instead of a file or syslog. Even specifying --skip-syslog does not address the issue because --log-error is still set. There should be a way to tell mysqld_safe to not set log-error so that logs go to stderr.
