That doesn't match my understanding and experience. AFAIK, there is no internet access (available|allowed) but connections to localhost are fine. Otherwise we would have seen tons of bug reports over the years already ... Another example, this time an arch:any package: libzeromq-perl Fails in cowbuilder with the new pbuilder with: cannot open port: 51426 at /usr/share/perl5/Test/TCP.pm line 51. # Child (blocking recv) exited without calling finalize() # Failed test 'blocking recv' # at /usr/share/perl/5.18/Test/Builder.pm line 252. # Tests were run but no plan was declared and done_testing() was not seen. t/rt64944.t ....... but builds fine on the buildds: https://buildd.debian.org/status/logs.php?pkg=libzeromq-perl Next one: libmongodb-perl (ok, tests are skipped here). Or libio-interface-perl: t/basic.t ... Failed 2/5 subtests # Failed test 'loopback device' # at t/simple.t line 24. Can't call method "address" on an undefined value at t/simple.t line 25. # Looks like you planned 11 tests but ran 6. # Looks like you failed 1 test of 6 run. # Looks like your test exited with 255 just after 6. t/simple.t .. Dubious, test returned 255 (wstat 65280, 0xff00) vs. https://buildd.debian.org/status/logs.php?pkg=libio-interface-perl Cheers, gregor -- .''`.
