systemd *does* have a versioned dependency on libc6 (>= 2.17). Is maybe aptitude doing something stupid and not updating the packages in the correct order? I did test dist-upgrades from wheezy to jessie and never stumbled upon this, but then I did use apt and not aptitude. Might be useful to get the input of the aptitude maintainers here. I fail to see how this is a bug in systemd. Michael -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
