Hi Salvatore,

did you notice that the XS extensions are not installed into the
binary package? This changelog entry seems relevant:

  libtest-valgrind-perl (1.12-1) unstable; urgency=low
  
    * New upstream release
      + Valgrind.so no longer installed (only needed for tests)
      + Fix symbols being Z-encoded on output with older versions
        of valgrind
    * This package is now an Arch: all, since the distribution is
      Pure Perl code

So no need for the perlapi dependency AFAICS?
