The hangouts plugin I find at https://www.google.com/tools/dlpage/hangoutplugin installs to ./usr/lib/chromium-browser/pepper/libppo1d.so ./usr/lib/chromium-browser/pepper/libppgoogletalk.so so it's presumably using ppapi.
