Thanks for the idea, Cyrill, solved it.

I did some digging through the cmake files, and I found the option
"APVLV_WITH_UMD", which defaults to being on.

Configuring with `cmake . -DAPVLV_WITH_UMD=OFF` will compile just fine,
because it doesn't look like upstream thinks to check if their libumd is
installed...

Maybe a patch that sets that off by default would be helpful?  (There
was also an "APVLV_WITH_DJVU" setting, so libdjvulibre might not be
strictly required either.)
