Yes, looks like it never was actually committed to git just lying around in the tree :/. Which then of course got lost in 4.2.x... Re-added. (And I removed the part above; vars.* is not used in *any* maintainer script anymore. Only "real" user is libreoffice-mysql-connectors bug script, though so we can't remove vars.* alltogether unless patching mysqlc's extension id...)
