The util-linux package changelog for version 2.20.1-2
contains the entry:

* Preserve the ACPI wakeup time when updating the hardware clock.
Closes: #505138
But the hwclock.sh script in the package doesn't actually seem to
include the proposed changes in this bug report.
I'm thus removing the pending tag here rather then closing this
bug report.
