Understood and wasn't expected by me - this was a more informational in case things hadn't changed much or virt-manager (at least in wheezy) could be altered to use a known good configuration. It sounds like qemu is still getting heavy development so bugs in wheezy are only useful if they are bugs that must be fixed in wheezy (i.e. RC) rather than a backport or using testing or unstable.
