Source: mate-desktop-environment Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
After running MATE desktop for a while (varying from a few hours to about 3 days) the desktop becomes unresponsive. Top shows mate-settings-daemon taking about 88% of available RAM (on 8GB machine). After sending signal 9 to mate-settings-daemon's PID, the daemon immediately respawns and starts gobbling RAM again. At no time does the desktop become responsive again. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.14-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
