Package: man-db Version: 2.6.7.1-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainers,
* What led up to the situation? Testing "lexgrog" on a file in a cat-directoy * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? lexgrog -c /var/cache/man/cat1/test.1.gz * What was the outcome of this action? /var/cache/man/cat1/test.1.gz: parse failed Return value was 2. * What outcome did you expect instead? It should succed. The same bug occurs with the option --whatis ## This happens when the "NAME"-line contains an escape sequence for a terminal, what is to be expected for a file, that is already formatted for a terminal. Extrapolating, any extra (visible) character causes the same error. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'proposed-updates'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i586) Kernel: Linux 3.2.53-rt75-2 Locale: LANG=is_IS, LC_CTYPE=is_IS (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages man-db depends on: ii bsdmainutils 9.0.5 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.53 ii dpkg 1.17.10 ii groff-base 1.22.2-5 ii libc6 2.18-5 ii libgdbm3 1.8.3-12 ii libpipeline1 1.3.0-1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-1 man-db recommends no packages.
