Package: nuitka Version: 0.5.1+ds-1 Severity: normal As far as I can tell, nuitka doesn't compile any python3 code, so the build-dep on python3-all-dev is unneeded. python3-all is sufficient. We use build-deps on the python -dev packages to track what needs rebuilding/ updating for a python transition and so nuitka ends up on the list. Please consider this change for your next upload.
Nuitka depends on this, because it runs the tests, which include using python3. Nuitka is affected by an updated "python3", as e.g. it needs to be changed to support Python 3.4, so that is true.
I don't know of any way to not build depend on run time dependencies, when I mean to run the tests during builds.
It's OK for you to ignore this though. Currently Debian has overtaken me in 3.4 as default supported, where Nuitka will only get there in the coming month.
