Since a few months, avahi-daemon has started polluting my logs with large numbers of the following messages: Received packet from invalid interface These messages are generated after avahi-daemon receives an mdns query from another host on the network (see below). The appearance of these messages coincides with the upgrade from version 0.6.31-2 to 0.6.31-4. (Unfortunately, I don't know if it just so happens that that host appeared at the same time, or that it started doing those queries at that time, but the most likely 'cause' of the messages seems the upgrade of avahi) The messages disappear when I enable publishing, but I do not want to publish information on all interfaces, and it does not seem possible to restrict publishing to just one interface, while listening on all interfaces.
