The current maintainer of jed, Debian JED Group <pkg-jed-de...@lists.alioth.debian.org>,
is apparently not active anymore. Therefore, I orphan this package now.
Maintaining a package requires time and skills. Please only adopt this
package if you will have enough time and attention to work on it.
I'm still a heavy jed user, so I guess I'd better adopt this if I'm
the last person that cares enough. I need to have a look at it to see
if I am in fact capable of looking after it.
I have been one of the members of the Debian JED Group. I retired from
Debian a couple of years ago, but I am still contributing in some areas.
Unfortunately, I have no time to maintain the jed-related packages
anymore. I am also a heavy jed user, so would love if you could take it
over. I have not heard from the other formerly active members of the DJG
(Günter Milde and Jörg Sommer) since ages. So, I think you should just
go ahead and adopt the packages.
