I realized today the syntax errors I blamed on mime-support (sorry) originate from other odd packages.
xloadimage (4.1-23) corrected the syntax errors in the mailcap data file /usr/lib/mime/packages/xloadimage and closed #747322 on Wed, 28 May 2014 22:36:43 +0200.
