Package: pmount Version: 0.9.23-3 Severity: wishlist The pmount package creates the /media directory in the root filesystem, and then uses it to create and delete mount points on the fly. This invloves writing on the root filesystem, which is usually not desirable.
I have chosen, on my system, to make /media a symlink to /run/local/media. It works quite well, except when /run/local/media is not yet created after boot. I suggest you add the corresponding option to the pmount package: make /media a symlink to a directory in /run and add an init script to create the directory at boot. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (50, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.13-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages pmount depends on: ii libblkid1 2.20.1-5.7 ii libc6 2.18-7 pmount recommends no packages.
