Package: network-manager-gnome Version: 0.9.4.1 Severity: important Tags: upstream
Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? -Attempting to connect to hidden wireless networks. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? -Changed the wireless network to not be hidden (turned on broadcast SSID). * What was the outcome of this action? -It verified that the issue is with connecting to hidden wireless networks. * What outcome did you expect instead? -To be able to connect to a network whether it is hidden or not. Please note: Ubuntu claims this has been fixed in upstream since 0.8-a-git (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-applet/+bug/431265), however, that does not appear to be the case. I may look into that patch and see if I can't fix this if and when I get some time later. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
