This isn't how a library transition is usually done.  If you don't
believe me, check with the release team.

If you're worried about the binary packages which are no longer built
by the wxsqlite source package being left behind in the archive, then
you don't need to - there are semi-automated systems to handle removal
of such "cruft" binary packages.

If you're worried about them being left on user systems, then you don't
need to.  The user can clean up such packages easily (e.g. with "apt-get
autoremove"), and they may have locally built software (either in
locally built packages, or installed by hand) using the old run-time
library, in which case it's very unhelpful to try to force it off the
system like this.

Without a more detailed report, it's hard to say what might be up, but
the runtime packages should coexist without issues.
