I read "After all, packages are...", instead of what you intended, sorry. Partly also due to the fact that typically people file bugs on ftp.d.o only once packages can really be removed and most or all reverse-dependencies are resolved, lest ftp.debian.org becomes a pile of bugs that at some point in the future needs to be executed, but not yet. It's still 'moreinfo', as I understand I should not remove readline4 yet, hence, the ball is not at ftp-master's. I do not intend to periodically look whether all packages are already converted to readline5, that's a maintainer's job.
