I do not expect this interface to change - the SBackup paradigm is that backups "just happen" once they are configured.
In 2.0 however I plan to have another entry point - a backup applet. This applet could display a descriptive warning icon if backup is not configured and asking user to click on it to launch the configurator. Afterwards this icon would also be used to show progress of backup runs, launching manual backup runs, launching restore and launching backup to CD. The applet would also remind the user if he should backup a backup snapshot to removable media and hasn't done so in some time (a week, for example).
