Package: lxc Version: 1.0.3-1 Followup-For: Bug #745670 Dear Maintainer,
as far as I know now lxc.service: ExecStartPre=/usr/libexec/lxc/lxc-devsetup ExecStart=/usr/libexec/lxc/lxc-startup start ExecStop=/usr/libexec/lxc/lxc-startup stop were set this way to make the users of lxc aware that there is no lxc-autostart for the time of creating the lxc.service script, so people had to provide an own implementation. Now it exists, lxc-autostart is implemented in /etc/init.d/lxc. Since lxc has lxc-autostart now ExecStart and ExecStop had to be set accordingly. But im not so sure about lxc-devsetup in ExeStartPre. It is not being used in /etc/init.d/lxc (I do not know wether sysvinit script works, it uses lxc- autostart). To go on lxc-devsetup /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/lxc/lxc-devsetup (paths of amd64 platform) uses [[ and ]], despite the fact that dash complains about it. I think it does not exist in dash. So the file is buggy and should not be used unaltered. I do not know wether lxc-devsetup is needed at all for lxc.service. In case you want to setup lxc.service to work you have to change/remove ExecStartPre or lxc-devsetup. cheers, Lim -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.14-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages lxc depends on: ii libapparmor1 2.8.0-5+b1 ii libc6 2.18-5 ii libcap2 1:2.22-1.2 ii libseccomp2 2.1.1-1 ii libselinux1 2.2.2-2 ii multiarch-support 2.18-5 Versions of packages lxc recommends: ii lua5.2 5.2.3-1 ii python3 3.3.4-1 ii rsync 3.1.0-3 Versions of packages lxc suggests: pn lxc-stuff <none> -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
