Package: docker.io Version: 0.11.1~dfsg1-1 Severity: wishlist Hi Paul/Tianon,
Would it be possible to provide a docker.io-compat package which provides /usr/bin/docker as a symlink to /usr/bin/docker.io? docker.io-compat would obviously have to confict with the existing docker package. I am increasingly finding myself having to either: 1) patch generic docker scripts, changing docker to docker.io 2) create an unmanaged symlink between docker and docker.io It would be great to be able to resolve this through dpkg.
