Package: scim In Ubuntu 14.04, the Dash doesn't work when scim is selected as the Keyboard Input Method. "Doesn't work" means the Dash opens, but one cannot type in the search screen. It accepts one letter and then freezes. When one goes into language support and changes the Keyboard IM to another option such as ibus or Fcitx, the Dash problem resolves. I started a thread on the Ubuntu forums <http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2219628 <http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2219628>> about this matter some weeks ago, and someone else on the thread (tuannb86) reported the same problem. So there are definitely multiple users facing this issue.
