Any idea why the old code doesn't work? It really should be updating the same files. buildd.debian-ports.org also shows all arches as installed, and doesn't know about ppc64el, only ppc64. I really doubt the source package's config file knows about most of the architectures, so it seems to be working? I should probably convert it to dh, and update things like autoconf during build.
