Could you try to install libpam-systemd? And if you are not running systemd as PID1, you should either try to install systemd-sysv (this will make your system switch to systemd) or install systemd-shim. IMHO, the bug should be reassign against lightdm, they should maybe add a dependency against libpam-systemd.
