Please do provide the whole thing (for both cases), the log here shows that it is not finding the device but doesn't include the bit where the USB driver itself is initialising and whether something is wrong at that stage. I assume that lsusb differs between the two in that it doesn't include the keyboard in the second case? Please can you also post Xen's own dmesg (from "xl dmesg"). Your logs include some ACPI errors. It would be a good idea to make sure you have the very latest BIOS for the system.
