Package: pcscd
Version: 1.8.11-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
In the Journal of systemd fails with this error:

May 12 07:32:57 hostname systemd-udevd [291]: specified group 'pcscd'
unknown

This error appears each time you boot.

If additional log information needed I can still post like this.

I thinkg this line is not the fault of pcscd but of a smart card driver
installed on your system.

What is the output of
$ grep pcscd /lib/udev/rules.d/*

Bye

Hi Ludeovic,
here is the output.

/lib/udev/rules.d/60-libifd-cyberjack6.rules:ATTR{idVendor}=="0c4b",
ATTR{idProduct}=="0100", MODE="660", GROUP="pcscd"
/lib/udev/rules.d/60-libifd-cyberjack6.rules:ATTR{idVendor}=="0c4b",
ATTR{idProduct}=="0300", MODE="660", GROUP="pcscd"
/lib/udev/rules.d/60-libifd-cyberjack6.rules:ATTR{idVendor}=="0c4b",
ATTR{idProduct}=="0400", MODE="660", GROUP="pcscd"
/lib/udev/rules.d/60-libifd-cyberjack6.rules:ATTR{idVendor}=="0c4b",
ATTR{idProduct}=="0500", MODE="660", GROUP="pcscd"
/lib/udev/rules.d/60-libifd-cyberjack6.rules:ATTR{idVendor}=="0c4b",
ATTR{idProduct}=="0501", MODE="660", GROUP="pcscd"

The problem comes from the /lib/udev/rules.d/60-libifd-cyberjack6.rules file
from the libifd-cyberjack6 Debian package.
I reassign the bug to the correct package: libifd-cyberjack6

Frank, as the maintainer of libifd-cyberjack6, you do not need to change mode
and group for the USB devices. pcscd is now started as root.
See
http://ludovicrousseau.blogspot.fr/2011/11/pcscd-auto-start-using-systemd.html
for more details.

This bug is also a duplicate of bug #725414 "group pcscd doesn't exist"
already existing for your Debian package libifd-cyberjack6.

Bye
