Package: libscotch-5.1 Version: 5.1.12b.dfsg-2+b1 Severity: serious Hi all,
The stable (wheezy) debian package "libscotch-5.1" depends on MPI lib as : dep: libmpich2-3 [amd64, mips, mipsel, s390, s390x] dep: libopenmpi1.3 [not amd64, mips, mipsel, s390, s390x] while the "mpi-default-bin" package has the following dependencies : dep: mpich2 [mips, mipsel, s390, s390x] dep: openmpi-bin [not mips, mipsel, s390, s390x] The same bug occurs for all MPI-dependent packages from the "scotch" source package. Thus, on amd64, the scotch library is not usable: package depending on scotch will compile but segfault at run time. A possible solution should be to recompile the wheezy/amd64 scotch package. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/6 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libscotch-5.1 depends on: ii libc6 2.13-38+deb7u1 ii libcr0 0.8.5-2 ii libmpich2-3 1.4.1-4.2 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.7.dfsg-13 libscotch-5.1 recommends no packages. libscotch-5.1 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information Yours sincerely, Pierre Saramito -- pierre.saram...@imag.fr Directeur de Recherche CNRS Laboratoire Jean Kuntzmann, Grenoble, France http://www-ljk.imag.fr/membres/Pierre.Saramito -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
