Package: debian-goodies Version: 0.63 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
The checkrestart utility in debian-goodies will falsly report MySQL as needing a restart starting with jessie. The same happens in Ubuntu 14.04, presumably because it is based on Debian testing. -- How to reproduce -- Upgrade to Debian testing / jessie Install mysql-server, mysql-client and debian-goodies Run checkrestart Restart MySQL Run checkrestart checkrestart will keep reporting on MySQL needing a restart for as long as MySQL is running. -- Expected behaviour -- checkrestart should report on MySQL needing a restart only if it really does. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.14.1-x86_64-linode39 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages debian-goodies depends on: ii curl 7.36.0-2 ii dctrl-tools [grep-dctrl] 2.23 ii perl 5.18.2-3 ii python 2.7.5-5 ii whiptail 0.52.15-3+b1 Versions of packages debian-goodies recommends: ii lsof 4.86+dfsg-1 Versions of packages debian-goodies suggests: pn popularity-contest <none> pn xdg-utils <none> pn zenity <none> -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
