If someone wants to adopt and fix the package, it will be still
available at http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-games/vavoom.git
as well as http://snapshot.debian.org/package/vavoom/. So your work is
not lost if the package is also removed from experimental. But people
won't try to install it and then complain to you that it's broken.

So I see no reason to keep the package experimental if it was removed
for the above mentioned reasons from unstable.
