I *DID* read the upstream report YOU sent (2 months ago). Were you so
upset about being rejected there that it took you 2 months to decide to
now bother Debian about the same issue?

I didn't decide to bother Debian about the same issue. I do not let bugs rot 
just because upstream won't acknowledge their existence.

Examples are not the correct place to get into minutia details.  The example as
given is correct for what it is trying to convey.

Get over it, your point of view simply is wrong.

Why can't you accept that the documentation is wrong?

As the upstream maintainer has already told you that the example is
correct, it's pointless to harass Debian about it.

Please see the answer to that.
