It is not a machine, really, but an alternate ROM for the 48K Spectrum (which also works on the 128K model). So, the user should ideally be able to select it from: Options -> Select ROMs I'll rephrase the entire bug report if you like: Because fuse-emulator is free software and the Debian opense-basic package contains a free ROM for ZX Spectrum machines, I think the user should be able to select this ROM in the "Select ROMs" menu. While we are at it, it would be wonderful if the tape saving routines from this ROM would work in accelerated mode as it happens in the classical 48.rom. That would be all.
