Package: calibre Version: 1.25.0+dfsg-1 Severity: normal Hi,
I'm trying to convert some HTML ebooks (coming from latex) which have svg inside to a format readable on a Kindle. I've tried mobi, but the tables are messed up. I tried azw3/kf8 format, in which the tables are correct, but then the Kindle (And calibre viewer) doesn't show the svg image, it only says “SVG-viewer needed”. A quick look on the internet doesn't show anything obvious for the above error message, but it looks like a lot of people have issues with the Kindle svg parser. If the parsers are that bad, I guess it'd be a better idea to provide an option to convert images to PNG instead of keeping the SVGs files. For now I can do html → mobi → azw3 but it's a bit painful. Thank for your work anyway!
