Package: pdftoipe
Version: 20130124-1+b2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

converting a pdf file to xml does not work anymore.
The resulting xml file cannot be opened with ipe.
I have tried many different pdf files, some has been
created by ipe, some by other programms, none worked.

The problem is always the same, there is no <page> tag
in the xml file, but </page>. If I add <page> at a
proper place with an editor, everything is fine.

A very simple example of a resulting xml file:

mo@pcz07:0$ cat star.ipe
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE ipe SYSTEM "ipe.dtd">
<ipe version="70000" creator="pdftoipe 2013/01/24">
<ipestyle>
<layout paper="595 842" frame="304.4 240.4" origin="47.8 575.8"/>
</ipestyle>
<path stroke="0 0 0" pen="0.4" join="1">
208.2 192.2 m
272.2 0.2 l
112.2 128.2 l
304.2 128.2 l
144.2 0.2 l
208.2 192.2 l
0.2 240.2 l
</path>
</page>
</ipe>
mo@pcz07:0$

Adding <page> after </ipestyle> makes it usable.

It is a strange thing, that pdftoipe claims to be rather old,
from 2013/01/24, but it worked until a few weeks ago.

Best regards,

  Martin Olschewski
