Icedove on testing/jessie depends on libffi6 not on libffi5 as visible on the Debian package site [1] and via apt-cache $ apt-cache show icedove | grep libffi Depends: ... libffi6 (>= 3.0.4) ... or via your mail to the BTS. > Versions of packages icedove depends on: > ... > ii libffi6 3.1~rc1+r3.0.13-12 So you may have some pinning done in your sources?
