Well, following the thread at [0] doesn't implies that this is a solid solution. It seems to be more a clobbling than a development. I'll run that patches at my own but don't expect to get them upstreamed or Debain packaged. Debian X Strike Force, please consider to close this bug or push a non-clobbling fix....
