Package: openoffice.org-writer Version: 2.0.0-2 Severity: minor
OOo-w has this neat feature allowing for the insertion of a character by a hex-code through ctrl+shift+[hexcode]. Unfortunately this feature conflicts with the default key bindings where ctrl+shift+a through f are used. For example in the german translation ctrl+shift+f is bound to "Bold" (which is "Fett" in German). Therefor the abovementioned feature should either be switched off by default (which would be rather unfortunate) or bound to a different key combination that does not conflict with any bindings (ctrl+alt+shift?) or, at least, the default keybindings should be changed as not to use this range. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-1-k7 Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages openoffice.org-writer depends on: ii libc6 2.3.5-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:4.0.2-4 GCC support library ii libicu34 3.4-2 International Components for Unico ii libstdc++6 4.0.2-4 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libstlport4.6c2 4.6.2-3 STLport C++ class library ii libwpd8c2 0.8.3-1 Library for handling WordPerfect d ii openoffice.org-core 2.0.0-2 OpenOffice.org office suite archit ii python-uno 2.0.0-2 Python interface for OpenOffice.or ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-4 compression library - runtime Versions of packages openoffice.org-writer recommends: ii java-gcj-compat 1.0.41-2 Java runtime environment using GIJ ii openoffice.org-java-common 2.0.0-2 OpenOffice.org office suite Java s -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
