Ah! You are right; if I use the 3.2.24-2 versions the problem does not occur, but it does with the 3.2.24-1 versions.
I had pulled those 3.2.24-2 packages onto my machine and thought NetworkManager was using them, but it was apparently still using the 3.2.24-1 versions. Maybe I forgot to restart it...
