Package: icedove Version: 24.4.0-1~deb7u1 Followup-For: Bug #745593 Dear Maintainer,
On Wed Apr 23 22:28:06 2014 after updating the following packages: * enigmail (2:1.5.1+id17-3~deb7u1) to 2:1.6-4~deb7u1 * icedove (17.0.10-1~deb7u1) to 24.4.0-1~deb7u1 * libopenjpeg2 (1.3+dfsg-4.7) to 1.3+dfsg-4.8 I started ```icedove``` which detected that exists the new 2.6.4 version of the ```lightning``` plugin, and I confirmed to upgrade to 2.6.4. After completed the upgrade a reboot was neded but ```icedove``` didn't start any more. To debug ```icedove``` I ran the command: $ icedove -g [-safe-mode] 2>&1 | tee /tmp/icedove-gdb-$(apt-cache show icedove | grep Version | awk '{ print $2 }')_$(date +%F_%T).log and in ```/tmp/icedove-gdb-24.4.0-1~deb7u1``` I get: [calBackendLoader] Using libical backend at /home/tarin/dati_applicazioni/email/Thunderbird/Profiles/tarin/extensions/{e2fda1a4-762b-4020 -b5ad-a41df1933103}/components/libical.manifest enigmail.js: Registered components Warning: unrecognized command line flag -g mimeVerify.jsm: module initialized icedove: relocation error: /home/tarin/dati_applicazioni/email/Thunderbird/Profiles/tarin/extensions/{e2fda1a4-762b-4020 -b5ad-a41df1933103}/components/Linux_x86-gcc3/libcalbasecomps.so: symbol _ZN2js13CheckedUnwrapEP8JSObjectb, version xul24 not defined in file libxul.so with link time reference Because the problem is related to a plugin extension I started ```icedove``` with the ```-safe-mode``` option. I tryed different combinations and in the end I understood that the problem is the ```lightning``` 2.6.4 plugin, so i disabled it. Then ```icedove``` starts correctly with the ```enigmail``` 1.6 plugin enabled and ```lightning``` 2.6.4 plugin disabled. At the moment I can read/write e-mail but can't access to my calendar.
