I'm biased, so I'm responding with the most biased email I have. I'm an Ubuntu contributor. I will not, am not, and have not ever worked for Canonical. Ubuntu is not a Canonical product, it's a free software project with Canonical as a major contributor and sponsor. Perhaps the only one. This does not mean all Ubuntu members are Canonical employees, nor even that all Canonical employees are Ubuntu members (neither relation is true) Ubuntu is also massive.
