Hi all, I installed daptup and had to ultimately purge as it give too much info. which was confusing to users i.e. me. It just gave too much info. for me to make sense of things. I had to fall-back on my aliases apto and aptc to see what it was saying as outdated really had issues or not :- $ alias apto alias apto='aptitude search ~o' $ alias aptc alias aptc='aptitude search '\''~c'\''' I like it how aptitude just tells of updated packages and if there are any obsolete packages it points it out . That is good enough. @Michael Vogt thank you. I do hope the patch is integrated into the next version. Looking forward to it. -- Regards, Shirish Agarwal शिरीष अग्रवाल My quotes in this email licensed under CC 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/ http://flossexperiences.wordpress.com 065C 6D79 A68C E7EA 52B3 8D70 950D 53FB 729A 8B17 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
