Are there any changes that would make this feature patch more likely to be accepted? Particularly, do you want the separate whitespace-cleanup patch to be dropped? It's a patch for debcheckout to use Git when checking out Hg or SVN repositories (enabled by configuration in ~/.devscripts). I need to update my patch anyway, as the git-bzr-ng package has been RM RoM'd in #742415.
