Package: chkrootkit
Version: 0.49-4.1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

Can you reduce the resource consumption of chkrootkit adding the following line
at the beginning of "/etc/cron.daily/chkrootkit":

renice +19 -p $$ >/dev/null 2>&1

On some server when chkrootkit and another IO task (backup, rsync, find, etc)
work together, the load goes high (greater than 100).

Little refinement, nice value could be further specified in the default file
"/etc/default/xxx".

Regards.
