Package: ddclient Version: 3.8.0-11.5 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
as Dyn DNS are ending their free service, using them should no longer be the default setting. Moreover, I seem to be unable to switch to any free service like Afraid Org or Dt DNS as their protocols are not supported. Switching to the version from 'testing' is not possible either as the new protocols fail − some dependencies seem to be missing; manually installing what is needed seems to require switching to 'testing' entirely. Plaese consider making the 'testing' version available to 'stable' users, possibly through 'debian-backports'. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.4 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_IE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_IE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages ddclient depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.49 ii initscripts 2.88dsf-41+deb7u1 ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian8+deb7u1 ii perl [perl5] 5.14.2-21+deb7u1 Versions of packages ddclient recommends: ii libio-socket-ssl-perl 1.76-2 ddclient suggests no packages. -- debconf information: * ddclient/fetchhosts: Manually ddclient/blankhostslist: ddclient/run_daemon: false ddclient/hostslist: * ddclient/names: iradio.dtdns.net * ddclient/interface: ddclient/modifiedconfig: * ddclient/checkip: false * ddclient/server: www.dtdns.com * ddclient/protocol: dyndns2 ddclient/run_ipup: true * ddclient/username: rleelxmakt ddclient/daemon_interval: 300 * ddclient/service: other -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
